As this plaque at a Vista Point along US20 between Bend and Sisters, OR, explains, the three peaks to the west used to be called Faith, Hope, & Charity -- starting from the north. Now they're simply the South, Middle, and North Sister. Although the North Sister looks the highest, that's because it's closer; the South Sister is the highest at 10,358'.
Like Lassen National Park's mountains, a peak near the Three Sisters has a similar name: Broken Top. [Click 1 or 2 times to enlarge.]
