On 20 Jun 2016 with the sun at my back I decided to take photos of one of the noted features of my hometown, the municipal wharf, after I parked in one of the parking areas along West Cliff Drive.
Walking to the railing I took a shot along west cliff which includes most, if not all, of the wharf.
Panning to the right we see the end of the wharf.
Panning yet again we see a small sailboat and, in the background, the point just to the south of where the San Lorenzo River empties into the Monterey Bay.
To the right is another sailboat which appears smaller; but it looks smaller because it is farther to the southwest.
Finally, zooming in on the boat just off of the end of the wharf, it's not your typical sailboat.
