The first two photos are ones I took on my way from the Half Moon Bay Area to the Palo Alto VA Hospital on T 5 July; they were both taken from the Vista Point to the right of I-280 just south of its junction with SR92. At the right is a view of Hetch Hetchy water in Upper Crystal Springs Reservoir. [Click 1 or 2 times to enlarge.]
Not much to see looking to the SW from the Vista Point other than small oaks and brush on the eastern side of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
This shot is familiar to most of you but is from a slightly different location than your usual view. It a view (over a chain-link fence) down Los Gatos Creek toward the Santa Clara Valley. While I was eating lunch a van likely from a local TV station was receiving something alongside of me atop the Lexington Reservoir Dam; never did see which station it was since I had to make tracks for Palo Alto.
