Green River to near Hanksville, Utah

Wonderland RV Park, Torrey, UT

A shot to the NW from the gravel parking lot just off of UT24 next to the road (which you see) to Goblin Valley State Park. While I ate lunch, numerous vehicles went to or returned from that state park; because of that I assumed it was full and skipped driving the 12 miles to it.

A view generally south from the shade of my camper after I finished lunch.

The same rock outcropping which was behind my truck antenna in the previous photo -- but viewed from the east rather than from the north.

Many more rock formations as seen from a gate to a 4x4 route to the west from UT24.

A "rock totem," with its eyes and mouth closed and its nose bent out of shape. :-)>

Panning to the right, the snow-capped Henry Mountains are visible in the distance.

To the southwest the most prominent mesa in the middle of this photo is Brigham Butte (or, perhaps, Briaham's Butte).

After learning that the only RV Park in Hanksville wanted $30 for a full hookup, I continued west on UT24 and found a spot on the other (north) side of the road from the Fremont River.

An eastly shot across a small flood plain populated with desert roses and broken-off cottonwood trees.

A photo of the mesas across the plain with the sun obscured by clouds.

Almost the same shot as the one immediately above, but with the sun out again.

With the sun out from behind the clouds, a pan to the left from the photo above.

In the center of the photo, a small cave wherein one is likely to find bones of rabbits, mice, etc. as foxes and other small predators enjoyed their dinners with a roof over their heads.

A closeup of the variety of rocks at the bottom of small gullies; the sedimentary rocks are the ones with small fossils in them.
