Sandusky Bay & Harbor, Ohio

    As with every port in my home state of California, the Italians were the first fishermen and cooks to set up their shops -- or carts. Piscitelli's specializes in an Italian perch sandwich.
    Perhaps because Sandusky Bay is relatively shallow, it's not listed in my 2008 World Almanac as a chief Ohio port as are Toledo and Cleveland.

    The fountain just across from the entrance to the Sandusky Harbor area -- with a spire of a church very noticeable up the street.

 

 

 

 

 

 

    Zooming in, both the spire and the fountain become even more noticeable.

    Now it's time to navigate the one-way streets to get a close-up of the church....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

    It would help photographers if there were no power or telephone lines; however, the cost of repairs of underground lines is greater. This is a side view of the front of the church.

 

 

 

 

 

 

    Here's the best shot I could get of the front of the church without sitting on the ground.

 

 

 

 

 

 

    As this commemorative sign states, this is a Catholic Church called by most "Holy Angels Church," but a few likely still use "St. Mary's" instead.
